"MOON: Museum Connecting the Sea" is a comprehensive marine museum where visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the connection between the sea and people, and discover its relationship and value.
Towards a future society that coexists with the ocean, we will digitally archive various materials related to the sea, including art, literature, video, history, and folklore, and make them widely available in a format that everyone can learn from and enjoy.
Our wish is to share the boundless knowledge and joy that exists in the ocean with everyone who visits MOON.

This exhibition showcases approximately 600 books about the sea selected by 100 libraries across Japan. Within these books, a variety of oceans unfold. There are calm seas, and rough seas. Seas filled with memories of time spent with friends and family, seas where whales and dolphins communicate, and seas yet to be discovered by anyone... [……]
A project that takes you on a journey to the sea through manga. The sea of adventure, the sea where love blossoms, the sea that nurtures food, and the sea that receives memories and prayers. A wide variety of seas are depicted in manga. Turn the pages and distant seas, and seas you have never seen before, will feel much closer. [...
This exhibition uses a single theme as a starting point to open up time for thinking about the ocean. Through questions and insights, it aims to create an opportunity to reconnect with the sea.

We document and research the culture, expressions, and wisdom of life surrounding the sea, and through the collection and editing of materials, we open up opportunities for exhibitions, learning, and creative expression.
This online shop introduces knowledge and expressions born from the sea through books, artworks, and products, bringing them back into everyday life.
This is a studio open to everyone, where you can enjoy learning, creating, and experimenting while engaging with the ocean through production, practice, events, and dialogue.
