Bonito Ramen

"This bonito ramen is a product created by senior students in the Department of Food Engineering in collaboration with a local company, Higashimaru. In addition to bonito flakes, it uses scallops, kelp, and fish sauce, making it a ramen that evokes the feeling of the sea. By carefully calculating the salt concentration, we were able to maximize the synergistic effect of the bonito flakes and kelp, resulting in an even more delicious taste. It is also a product that is easy for people of all ages to eat, and since you can add toppings to your liking, it has become a favorite among many people." Kagoshima Prefectural Kagoshima Fisheries High School

"Kagoshima Fisheries High School is the only fisheries and marine-related high school in Kagoshima Prefecture, located in Makurazaki City. It has three departments, some of which are divided into three courses, allowing students to study their desired field in detail. There are also specialized courses for further in-depth study, making it a high school specializing in qualification acquisition. Students can have experiences that can only be learned by actually interacting with the sea, such as hand-line fishing on the small training vessel 'Takusei' or a 70-day voyage on the large training vessel 'Satsuma Seiun Maru'. In addition, the availability of student dormitories and a wide variety of club activities is one of the attractions of this high school, allowing students to fully enjoy their student life."
