Artwork No. 002 is No. 5 in the "Water Body" series, which depicts gazing at waves through a small window cut into a wooden frame.

The "Water Body" series was created by Eli Horn, who lives on Salt Springs, a rural island on Canada's Pacific coast, to share his deep love for waves, presenting the ocean as a "material object" like a small window. The waves come in and out, repeating endlessly. But each time they show a slightly different expression, making it impossible to take your eyes off them, and before you know it, you're drawn in. People have encountered such experiences across time and countries. The "Water Body" series evokes those soul-stirring moments hidden within scenes that everyone should know.

Eli Horn
Born in 1986, this Canadian visual artist is based on Salt Spring Island. Drawing on his background in graphic design and programming, he develops multidisciplinary practices that span analog and digital media. He explores the tension between surface and depth, and the boundaries and emotions that go beyond intuitive understanding.
