Located at the southern end of the Nichinan Kaigan Quasi-National Park, amidst a vast natural landscape surrounded by the sea and mountains, the area is protected from the rough waves of the Pacific Ocean by a chain of islands including Oshima, resulting in a calm and tranquil sea.
Tonoura Bay boasts exceptional clarity. It also has a rich ecosystem, and sea turtles have even come ashore to lay their eggs.
All guest rooms are oceanfront. The windows feature arched designs that frame the sea stretching out before you like a painting.

The Nichinan Coast National Park, Japan's first underwater park, encompasses approximately 100 km of coastline stretching from southern Miyazaki Prefecture to Cape Toi on the western shore of Shibushi Bay in Kagoshima Prefecture. Located within this park is the Nichinan Coast Nango Prince Hotel. Designed by Kiyoshi Seike, who has worked on many Prince Hotels, the hotel separates the guest room building from the public building, as Seike did with other Prince Hotels, while still offering panoramic views of the sea and Oshima Island from the guest rooms, restaurants, and lounges. While Seike focused on windows that allow guests to enjoy the view in Prince Hotels throughout Japan, here all guest rooms face the sea. The large windows offer views of the beautiful islands of the Hyuga Sea and the tranquil inlets. The windows are arranged in an L-shape with a gentle slope; one side is fixed, and the other has a door leading to a small veranda.
